Nikon has the D7100-dslr-announced. The new slr has a new aps-c image sensor by 24.1 megapixels and, like the D800E, Nikon has the low-pass filter omitted. The camera has an af system with 51 af points, and a 3.2″-rgbw lcd.
Nikon makes the new D7100 use the same sensor by 24.1 megapixels as the D5200-dslr, but the optical low-pass filter is omitted. This provides, in principle, more sharpness in pictures, but has the disadvantage that earlier, moiré effects may occur.
In addition, Nikon in the D7100 using the new Multi-CAM 3500DX af module. This seems to be derived from the FX variation in the D4 and D800/D800E is used and has 51 af points of which 15 kruisgevoelig. It is also the sensitivity of the af module is increased. The maximum burst rate of the D7100 is 6 frames per second, but with the new 1.3 x-cropmodus this will be increased to 7 frames per second. The new cropmodus offers pictures with a resolution of 15.4 megapixels, while it can also be used for video. The shutter has been calculated at approximately 150,000 sluiterbewegingen. The housing of the D7100 is also made of magnesium alloy and has sealed seams against the penetration of dust and moisture, while the camera has two sd-geheugenkaartslots.
The list price of the D7100 without a lens is 1179 euro, while the camera is in combination with the 18-105mm VR lens 1399 euro cost. The camera is available from march 21.
