Asus launches VivoTab Smart tablet with a refreshed keyboard

Asus brings in the course of this month, the VivoTab Smart in the Benelux. The 10,1″ Windows 8 tablet is powered by a Intel Atom Z2760-soc, contains 2GB of memory and has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Also comes Asus with a new keyboardaccesoire.

The VivoTab Smart adds in the tabletassortiment of Asus with the regular VivoTab and the VivoTab RT, which at the end of August during the IFA trade show in Berlin have been announced. Like most Windows 8 tablets that have been announced or released are running the VivoTab Smart on Intel’s Clover Trail Atom, or a dualcore soc with two processor cores at 1.8 GHz and PowerVR SGX545 gpu. The soc is paired with 2GB of ram and the storage memory has a capacity of 64GB.

The tablet is only 9.7 mm thick, weighs 580 grams and has an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a copy with a resolution of 2 megapixels for video calling. The 10.1″ ips screen has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and on wireless, there is support for wi-fi b/g/n and bluetooth. According to Asus the tablet’s 9.5 hours to go through on a full battery.

Unlike previous tablets from Asus is the VivoTab Smart is no optional keyboard dock with built-in battery has been developed. Instead, users can access the new TransSleeve purchase; a combination of a keyboard, schermcover and standard magnetically to the tablet confirmed.

The VivoTab Smart is in the course of this month in the Benelux in the colors black and white for 499 euros. The TransSleeve comes at the end of the month for a yet unknown price.
