Samsung brings this year ‘various’ Tizen phones from

Samsung this year will be different devices with the Linux-based operating system Tizen release. That let the manufacturer know in a statement to news agency Bloomberg. According to an earlier rumor presents Samsung launched the first Tizen phone next month.

The statement from Samsung to news agency Bloomberg does not mention when the phones come out, how they look and what the specifications will be. Tizen is an operating system that Samsung together with Intel. Therefore, it is obvious is that Samsung processors from Intel are going to use, but that is not certain. Last year added Samsung’s own platform Bada, together with Tizen.

It was rumored earlier that Samsung’s first Tizen phone on telecombeurs Mobile World Congress would be present. This would be a device with similar hardware as the Galaxy S III, though it is also just a rumor.

Although Tizen is a new platform, it has a history which few years back. Tizen comes from MeeGo, the collaboration of Intel with Nokia. There is never hardware with MeeGo on the market, but Nokia came at the end of 2011 with the N9, which is api-compatible with MeeGo. Intel brought its platform, Moblin, Nokia came up with Maemo, the Linux platform that ran on the smartphone N900 and tablets like N810.
