Thus, the market share of mobile internet has grown rapidly; in 2005 it was still only 12 per cent and in 2008 just 22 percent. This is evident from a report of the Central Bureau for Statistics. The CBS defines a household one or more persons who live together at an address live.

The use of laptops which people turn to the internet, although increasing: from 68 to 74 percent. 15 percent of the households with a set-top box to the internet, 19 percent with a game console.

It is remarkable that according to the figures of 6 per cent a ‘palmtopcomputer’ used for internet access. According to statistician, Chantal Melser of the CBS is actually to palmtops, and it is therefore not the case that devices such as tablets under the same denominator are gathered. “For the surveys in 2012, we have just completed, you can see that the share of the handheld computer is already decreasing, while the share of mobile phones continues to rise.” Tablets are in the surveys are not separately measured.
