Real estate investor Corio is in the shopping malls of which the owner is free wi-fi offering. These include several shopping centres in the Randstad. Corio is trying to get more people to attract.
Corio will offer free wifi in the shopping centres Hoog Catharijne in Utrecht, Villa ArenA in Amsterdam and Alexandrium in Rotterdam. The real estate company has, however, many other shopping centres in its portfolio, of which most are located in the Randstad and the central Netherlands. With free wi-fi hopes to Corio that people are shopping more as meeting places. Probably this should then ensure that customers spend more time and thus more shopping.
Free wi-fi for the past few years, quite on the rise. Several businesses, shops and restaurants are on their own, began with the opening of a wi-fi connection for customers. Recently started Albert Heijn with a trial that allows customers free internet access is offered. It is likely that this trend continue in the future.
