American company suing Blackberry-maker due to BBX

An American company has Research in Motion sued because of the name of its new mobile operating system: BBX. Basis that name would already be able to use for a product and every effort, filed a lawsuit against RIM.

The Basis delivers all from the eighties, a cross-platform interpreter with the name BBX, Business Basic extended. The company claims that the trademark rights on use of the name. Research in Motion should, therefore, stop with the run of the term BBX, said Base against Reuters news agency.

The Basis states in October, with RIM on the door, and knocked, but the smartphonefabrikant gave reportedly no hearing. The maker of the Playbook tablet has not yet commented.

Blackberry-maker RIM announced the mobile operating system, BBX mid-October. BBX is according to the smartphonefabrikant a combination of the current Blackberry OS and the QNX operating system. Furthermore, the allegedly integration with cloud services, and it is also focused on providing features that are suitable in an enterprise environment.
