Samsung says damages to be suffered by iPhone subsidies from telco’s

In a lawsuit between Apple and Samsung in Australia lwa, Samsung has indicated damages to be suffered by telcos who offer their customers to give discount on the iPhone. Due to high discounts, there would be less left for Samsung products.

Samsung has requested the court order Apple to force agreements with telecom providers to make it public, so it can be assessed what the impact on the smartphone market. This is part of the lawsuit that Samsung has filed for a sales ban to enforce for the iPhone 4S. Through agreements with telco’s understand the try Samsung to show that the damage of the iPhone 4S, which, according to the Korean company is not sold should be. In an Apple-filed lawsuit in Australia, the company realised a sales ban on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, to enforce.

In addition, Samsung also that Apple the source code of the iOS software to publish. Also this would the manufacturer need to demonstrate that the iPhone 4S is no longer sold should be. The court has not yet issued a ruling on the two applications of Samsung.

Samsung and Apple are in a long-term legal fight, in which lawsuits may be brought in different countries, including the Netherlands.
