UPC starts with mobile internet

UPC has business subscriptions for mobile internet announced and will be available later this year with subscriptions for consumers. The provider makes use of the Vodafone network and offers a maximum speed of 14.4 Mbps.

UPC’s Business to the Mobile Internet consists of four subscriptions for a laptop and tablet. For 10 euro per month for business customers 200MB, for 15 euro 500MB, for 22 euro 2GB for 35 euros per month they get 5GB of data. The month prices are exclusive of vat. Mentioned subscriptions are only available in combination with an All-in-1 Business – or Business Fiber Power subscription. UPC provides the possibility of up to five sim cards in a bundle.

The offer is a first step from UPC on the mobile internet market. The company promises to continue this year, with subscriptions for consumers. “Also, we make use of the Vodafone network,” says Ronald Sutmuller, spokesman of the UPC, against Tweakers.net. About the prices and introductiedata subscriptions for consumers UPC still not known. Neither is known when a UPC its own 2.6 GHz-frequentieblokken, which, along with Ziggo has acquired, in going for mobile internet. In the short term, the lte offerings of UPC is not to be expected.
