Warner Bros. has a new part in the Batman: Arkham series was announced. Batman: Arkham Origins is a prequel, many years before the events in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are playing, with a younger, less refined Batman in the lead role.
The third game in the Arkham series takes place before the other games, at a time when the most iconic villains still have no name made in Gotham City. Also Batman himself in Arkham Origins is not yet the sophisticated crime fighter that he later became. In the story, various events and encounters beyond that his development into The Dark Knight co-determining, for instance, Warner Bros. Tuesday known through the official website of the game.
Batman: Arkham Origins will appear worldwide on October 25 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and pc, while on the same date, a special handheld version will appear for the PlayStation Vita and the Nintendo 3DS, called Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. The console and pc version is made by WB Games Montréal and the development of the handheld version is in the hands of the Texas ontwikkelstudio Armature Studio.
That means that the games series is no longer developed by Rocksteady Studios, that a lot of the praise garnered by Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. However, it is not clear whether the London studio and not at all involved in the project; Warner Bros. still has a majority stake in Rocksteady Studios.
