Media. Sweden is the main example of horror when discussing immigrant-related societal development in Denmark. This is explained by Denmark's former Minister of Justice Sören Pape Poulsen in an interview with SVT's Politikbyrån.

– I do not want to be rude but I still want to tell honestly how we discuss in Denmark, Sören Pape Poulsen explains to the Swedish SVT journalist.

He continues:

– When we debate immigration and criminal policy, we always say: “We do not want it as in Sweden”. We see it as an example of horror.

Sören Pape Poulsen, who today is party leader for the Conservative Party, further tells about how he visited Sweden and talked to a journalist.

– The journalist said something about a minister having actually said that there might be a link between high immigration and crime. I was rude and started laughing: “How can you even discuss that?” A blind person can feel with his cane that it is a very big problem.

– I know that there is a lot of political correctness in Sweden, but I just do not understand why you do not say as it is, he continues.

Sören Pape Poulsen is worried that the problems in Sweden will continue to spread to Denmark.

– When you have a Swedish passport, just go to Denmark … me know that what I am saying may be controversial, but I think many Danes are worried about this. If we were to become a little like Sweden, it would be a disaster.
