Domestic. Israel's Eurovision Song Contest performer, Eden Golan, was booed during the first audience rehearsal on Wednesday night.

In addition to the boos, several in the audience shouted ” free Palestine”, according to TV4 Nyheterna.

– It was clear that Israel's contribution divided the audience into two camps. Many cheered and cheered, others booed as soon as the song went into a quieter section, says TV4 Nyheternas reporter Filip Stiller Borowicz on the spot in the arena.

Some in the audience are also said to have waved a Palestinian flag, despite such flags are expressly prohibited by the organizer EBU.

Israel competes in the second semi-final, which takes place on Thursday. Several demonstrations against Israel are expected to be held in Malmö during the day.
