Wētā Workshop shares first images of LotR game Tales of the Shire

Wētā Workshop and Private Division reveal the first images of the upcoming game Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game. The 'Hobbit Life Simulator' will be released in the second half of 2024 for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series Shire, where players can live their own lives as The Lord of the Rings creatures. The trailer below and the accompanying press release show that players can decorate their own Hobbit house, cook, fish, forage and garden in the village of Bywater. According to the developer, changing seasons affect which activities players can do. Players can also build a relationship with other Hobbits. The special effects company Wētā Workshop, which worked on The Lord of the Rings films, is developing Game Studio with the in-house development team Wētā Workshop a game for the first time. The company falls under the recently demerged Embracer Group. The game is published by Private Division, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive.
