Syrian quota refugees refuse to move to Sweden

According to the Tidö Agreement, Sweden must accept 900 quota refugees per year through UNHCR's program for resettlement.

During last year, however, they only managed to accept 541 people – 359 fewer than the target.

Migration Agency points out, among other things, the “spread of a deteriorating image of Sweden” in the Middle East as the cause.

When the Swedish delegations went to Jordan to recruit Syrians in refugee camps to Sweden, it became the nob.

“Some of the Syrians in Jordan experienced a concern connected, among other things, to the disinformation campaign against Sweden,” writes the Migration Agency, referring to the information that Muslim children are forcibly taken into custody by Swedish authorities.

“A number of Syrian families” chose to ” drop out” and refuse to come to Sweden, according to the Swedish Migration Agency.

The information is noticed by Aftonbladet's political reporter Fredrik Björkman, who for unclear reasons posts the spectacular news on X instead of writing about the matter in his newspaper :
