IDM Computer Solutions has released version 2024.0 of UltraEdit. This multifunctional text editor can handle regular ASCII text, but hexadecimal files and HTML files are not a problem either. The program also has features such as macros, vertical block selection, syntax highlighting, a built-in FTP client and spell checker in various languages. The program is primarily developed for Windows, but there are also versions for Linux and Mac. The changelog for this release looks as follows:

  • Honor Windows setting to hide cursor (mouse pointer) while typing
  • Allow sorting by clicking on the column headers in the Windows dialog
  • Add “Copy” button to Sum Selection dialog for total value
  • Sum selection returns incorrect negative value
