Domestic. Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim, 21, who is charged with the honor killing of heavily pregnant Saga, 20, did not want to tell his family that he had a relationship with a “white” non-Somali, according to the prosecutor. Therefore, he allegedly murdered her.

According to the prosecutor, Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim was exposed to “strong emotional impact” because of this.

Saga was found strangled to death in an apartment in Örebro on April 29 last year. She was seven months pregnant with a healthy boy, who also died in the womb during the murder.

Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim kept the relationship with Saga – who has a Thai accent – a secret from the family and wanted her to have an abortion. But she refused to do that.

However, the family had their suspicions and kept an eye on him, as evidenced by chat logs between the 21-year-old and his mother. Among other things, in January last year the mother confronted Ibrahim that her car, which he used, had been seen parked at Saga's address.

This made the mother furious:

“Don't come to me. I'm no longer your mother. I'm Islam and Somali,” she writes in a message.

“Not going home to someone white”
In his answer, Ibrahim denied the relationship:

“I am also Islam and Somali and I do not go home to a white person.”

In another conversation, he offers the mother to go to Somalia to make amends to her for making her sad.

“Whatever you decide I will follow mom,” he wrote.

The night before the murder, the 21-year-old and Saga agreed that they would finally tell the Somali's family about the relationship. Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim wrote to Saga that he had “heartbeats down to his stomach walla”.

In a message on the evening of April 28, which was apparently never sent, he wrote to his girlfriend:

“Forgive me, I really feel like throwing up from all this, sorry, but I can't handle this, I can be there and help if something is needed, but I can't tell my family,” he writes.

A last message from Saga was sent at 00:18 on April 29, the same day she was murdered:

“Baby talk to me,” she wrote.

When the Somali was arrested before the murder, he seemed completely unmoved and laughed and spoke coldly to the officers in the police car, according to the preliminary investigation.

– I perceive him as cold in his behavior and as if he is more bothered by the strange fit of the handcuffs than he is suspected of murder at his girlfriend's address, says one of the policemen during questioning.
