The “liquid devil” also reaches the new Radeon generation from AMD. Pictures show the PowerColor RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil. Like the predecessor, it is a water-cooled graphics card with a cooler from EKWB.

Two years ago, the manufacturer PowerColor flooded the Radeon RX 6900 XT. The Radeon RX 6950 XT Liquid Devil followed as part of the series update.

Now the next generation of the water-cooled graphics card based on the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, which was officially introduced in December, is available (Test) in front of the door.

The French website Overclocking.com was supplied with the new graphics card by the manufacturer and shows the first photos. The packaging, which is again in black and blue, includes an air pump and a pressure gauge in addition to the graphics card with pre-installed water cooling block. Both are used to check the tightness – the manufacturer EKWB calls the accessory EK-Loop Leak Tester Flex.

Compared to its predecessor, the design has been changed somewhat. This affects, among other things, the shape of the viewing window of the acrylic cover. To what extent the actual cooling block was changed cannot be seen exactly. The graphics card can and must be integrated into an existing water cooling circuit via the connections on the top – it is not an independent complete water cooling system (AiO).

The PCB should at least resemble that of the PowerColor RX 7900 XTX Red Devil and is equipped with a BIOS switch. This leaves the choice between “OC” and “unleash”. The latter setting should then extend the limits for overclocking. Three 8-pin sockets ensure a plentiful power supply. The article does not yet reveal the clock rates with which the PowerColor RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil will start.

Another absolute exotic

In any case, this is again an exclusive model of the series, because water cooling and the single-slot design it enables is not available anywhere else. Information on price and availability pending.
