A new report from the property company Nabo shows that condominium fees need to be increased by more than 40 percent on average. They have lagged behind for a long time.

During 2021, fees were raised on average by just 0.6 percent, but in 2022, many associations chose to raise fees more by an average of 3.6 percent.

< p>Nabo has reviewed the finances of 2,000 condominium associations and warns of the consequences of many having had fees that are too low for a long time.

According to Jonas Gustavsson, expert in financial management at Nabo, the goal is that the fees should follow inflation.

Gustavsson points out that it has been raised far too little and that associations should raise their fees by 40 percent.

– In the end the bank says no and then there is a risk of bankruptcy, says Jonas Gustavsson to SVT.
