Domestic. Hand grenades have been used in four of the twelve explosions that have taken place in Stockholm County since the turn of the year, reports Ekot in Sveriges Radio. But the Customs Agency says that the importation of the weapons still cannot be stopped.

There has been a wave of violence in Stockholm where twelve explosions have taken place at the beginning of the year.
– Of the cases the national bomb protection was on, in four of the cases found traces of hand grenades, says Malin Nygren, head of the police's national bomb data center to Ekot.
– It is designed to be used in war and is therefore deadly.
Despite efforts to prevent the smuggling of hand grenades into Sweden, they still come in and it is unusual for the Customs to seize them.
A representative from the Customs says that it would be a dream if they could secure so much that they were not on it criminal market.
– We can never reach a seizure rate that means they are not on the criminal market. It is a utopia to believe that. Then we can always get better, says Jesper Liedholm at the Swedish Customs Administration to Ekot.
