Economics. Turkish statistics agency Turkstat's two top executives are fired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after measuring inflation at 85.5 percent in October.

The chairman of the authority was recently forced to leave his post and now the deputy chairman Fatih Sahin is also being fired, reports TT.
A number of other managers have also been purged.
The inflation statistics from Turkstat have been questioned. Both the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and independent groups have measured inflation figures that are higher than the official ones.
