The carpenter was stopped by the police in Fjärås this summer and the knife was found in the driver's door.

The carpenter himself states that the knife probably came out of his work trousers. He thus admits the actual circumstances, although he denies any crime.

He says that he was on his way to Kungsbacka to meet a friend and that he sometimes uses his private car for his work. The district court buys it, but considers that the carpenter was “negligent” by storing the knife in a car in a public place.

The carpenter is therefore sentenced to a 50-day fine of 200 kroner for violating the Knife Act. He must also pay SEK 800 to the crime victims' fund and will also get rid of his knife, writes Norra Halland.
