Domestic. The armed forces are practicing through “Operation Stockholm” to defend the capital this week. The exercise is carried out in several different places in the inner city, and soldiers will, among other things, climb down a high house wall with the help of ropes.

300 soldiers participate in the exercise that takes place inside the city during the week, writes the Swedish Armed Forces in a press release.
– It is very important for all Lifeguard soldiers to be able to practice inside Stockholm and familiarize themselves with the urban environment, which in the worst case, is where they have to solve tasks in the event of an armed conflict, says exercise leader Magnus Gerhardsson.
