Domestic. 48 people have been shot dead in Sweden so far in 2022. The previous record from 2020 has thus been broken, even though it is only September.

The 48th victim was the young man who was shot on Thursday evening in Kristianstad and then died.
Sweden has thus already set a new record for fatal shootings in one year, despite the fact that the year is far from over.
The highest number previously was from 2020 when a total of 47 people were killed, the year after that the number of people killed was 45, according to police statistics.
