SSUPD Meshroom S: ATX mainboards also fit in a 15-liter case

A volume of around 15 liters is usually mini-ITX territory. SSUPD is enough to store an ATX mainboard in the Meshroom S. As with many other cases in its class, other computer components can be surprisingly large – but not all at the same time.

What can be installed depends heavily on which components are selected in large sizes, basically this class of housing requires a certain degree of component Tetris and careful planning. Much depends on the GPU. A long graphics card, the length of which is approaching 336 millimeters, prevents the use of all hard drives, there is only room for three 2.5″ HDDs. A 15 millimeter thick fan in the lid reduces the length of the graphics card to 317 millimeters. If you want to put 25 millimeter deep fans in the side panel, you should use a 1.9-slot cooler on the card, and a 2.4-slot cooler for slim fans. Fans or a radiator always fit behind the front without restriction. Cooling options and flexibility distinguish the Meshroom S from the externally almost identical SSUPD Meshlicious.

The thickness of the graphics card also determines the height of the processor cooler. With four slots, the range drops from 73 to 53 millimeters, which significantly reduces the range of air coolers. AiO water cooling in the front, in turn, reduces the length of the ATX power supply. However, such a board can only be used if a Mini-ITX mainboard has been purchased. Micro-ATX and ATX form factors require the SFX form factor for the power dispenser. The graphics card must then be placed behind the motherboard with a 250 millimeter long riser cable, which is otherwise only the case if models above. The fine print: According to the product description, such a cable is not included in the scope of delivery, but must be ordered separately. Only a shorter PCIe 4.0 riser card is included.

The Meshroom S is available in the colors blue, grey, green and black. According to the distributor Caseking, the tower should be available “soon”, but there is no date or timeframe yet. The recommended price is around 180 euros. Additional mesh panels, glass side panels and taller feet that allow three 120mm fans or a 360mm radiator on the front are sold as accessories.
