For the preparers, the advent of electric cars could represent, in the future, a serious problem since there will be no more; endothermic engines to be modified. Yet, what BRABUS did on the Mercedes EQS shows that it will be able to do so; still be room for these companies even with electrification.

The German tuner has therefore taken the Mercedes EQS 450+ and has created a specific aerodynamic body kit which made it possible to further optimize aerodynamics, obtaining an improvement in consumption and, therefore, in autonomy. Not an easy job since the German sedan already has; of a Cx of 0.20. The aesthetic changes also allowed to give more character to the look of the German electric flagship.

THE CHANGES

To develop the new body kit, BRABUS made extensive use of the wind tunnel. The result is new aerodynamic appendages that have made it possible to improve the drag coefficient by 7.2% . For example, at the rear we find a new diffuser, while at the front it is; A spoiler was introduced. The deflectors, on the other hand, optimize the flow of air.

All the aerodynamic elements have been made of carbon to contain the pi & ugrave; possible weight. The changes also include the presence of brand new BRABUS Monoblock Z & quot; Platinum Edition & quot; alloy wheels. 22 inch. In addition, the German trainer & egrave; intervened on the trim by lowering the height of the car by 15 mm at the front and by 25 mm at the rear.

But how much does the range improve? BRABUS does not provide an exact figure but estimates an improvement of around 7% at a speed; between 100 and 140 km/h. For the interior, the German tuner allows you to choose from the many customization options it offers. The only limit is the budget available.

There are no changes , however, as regards the powertrain . Therefore there are no differences in terms of acceleration and speed; maximum.
