Ford, investment in renewables in Michigan to produce with zero emissions

Ford has decided to make a major new investment in renewables . As we know, the automaker aims to become carbon neutral by 2050. As part of this ambitious project, the Blue Oval House has announced an important agreement with DTE Energy. Therefore, thanks to this new project, over the next three years 650 MW of energy produced by solar plants will be added to Michigan .

From 2025 Ford will be able to & agrave; use only clean energy to produce its cars in Michigan (including the F-150 Lightning pickup), reducing annual CO2 emissions by approximately 600,000 tons. Furthermore, this initiative will allow & agrave; to increase the capacity by 70%; installed solar power in this state.

DTE Energy estimates that this investment will be; also important for the local economy since the construction of solar plants will give work temporarily to 250 people and will go to create 10 new permanent jobs.
