Ford has decided to make a major new investment in renewables . As we know, the automaker aims to become carbon neutral by 2050. From 2025 Ford will be able to & agrave; use only clean energy to produce its cars in Michigan (including the F-150 Lightning pickup), reducing annual CO2 emissions by approximately 600,000 tons. Furthermore, this initiative will allow & agrave; to increase the capacity by 70%; installed solar power in this state.
DTE Energy estimates that this investment will be; also important for the local economy since the construction of solar plants will give work temporarily to 250 people and will go to create 10 new permanent jobs.
