Aqirys TGA Alpha: Modular wireless mouse from Romania has 16 spines

The TGA Alpha is actually an ordinary wireless gaming mouse with high-end components typical of 2022. What is unusual, however, is that Aqirys includes 16 different modules for the back of the mouse with the input device – and not only that, other components are also interchangeable.

Modularity for shape and color

The TGA Alpha comes with a total of 16 mouse backs, 4 front button covers, 2 USB A-to-C cables, 2 sets of grip tapes, 16 primary button spacers, and 2 sets of pure PTFE glide feet. Included are black, white, light blue and pink, a total of four different colors for the entire top of the wireless mouse, which weighs just 65 grams, but there are still four different variants to choose from for the back. On the one hand, users can choose between two closed, one perforated and one slotted cover. On the other hand, these differ in their shape, so that a higher, steeper rear or a flatter course is possible, depending on your preference.

With four grip tapes for the primary button covers and always hole-free sides of the right-handed symmetrical mouse in black or white, the feel of the TGA Alpha can be further adjusted. The feedback from the two Kailh primary buttons can also be adjusted: With spacers, users should be able to balance between more tactile and smooth adjustment.

Apart from all this, the TGA Alpha offers the PixArts PMW-3370, a sensor that is now standard for wireless gaming mice, as well as 1,000 Hertz via 2.4 GHz radio. The battery life is comparatively low at around 44 hours, with activated RGB lighting it should only be 36 hours. The lighting as well as common sensor settings and key assignments can be adjusted via associated software. The mouse also has an internal memory.

Available immediately

According to Aqirys, the TGA Alpha is available immediately at a low recommended retail price of around 90 euros, considering the performance class and the scope of delivery – but at least for the time being only via the Romanian manufacturer's website. Since Romania is an EU member, there are no additional fees; however, the delivery costs to Germany are 15 euros.
