Ford is preparing to start production of the new F-150 Lightning electric pickup, a very important model for the automaker's electrification plan given the great success it is achieving at order levels . Gi & agrave; we know in fact that the manufacturer has decided to increase the capacity; production of the pickup in order to meet the many requests that are coming from customers.
Now, the new electric pickup has obtained EPA certification which allows you to have a more & ugrave; precise on the actual autonomy of the different versions. As we know, the new F-150 Lightning & egrave; proposed with two capacities; of the battery pack: Standard Range (98 kWh) and Extended Range (131 kWh).
EPA has, therefore, certified that the Standard Range versions can count on 230 miles (370 km) of autonomy (online with what was declared by Ford), while the Extended Range versions, on the other hand, up to 320 miles (515 km), doing better than initially estimated by the same manufacturer.
Final EPA-estimated range for F-150 Lightning:
& # 9889; & # 65039; XLT, Lariat & amp; Pro trims = 320 miles w/extended range. 230 for standard.
& # 9889; & # 65039; Platinum trim = 300 milesThat & # 39; s 20 more miles than our initial target for ER. Congrats to @Ford engineers who keep making # F150Lightning even better! pic.twitter.com/ktPey2Hm11
