The INEOS Automotive plant in Hambach is preparing for series production of the new Grenadier off-road vehicle that we already have; got to see it closely. The company has invested over 50 million euros in addition to the 470 million euros invested by the German manufacturer in 2019 for a new production line since buying the plant from Mercedes in January 2021.
The line now dedicated to the Grenadier includes a new fully automated body shop, a new semi-automated paint shop and an updated infrastructure for assembly. Hambach can & ograve; also count on a new quality control department; equipped with cutting-edge technologies. INEOS Automotive announces that the Hambach site is already in place. building the Grenadiers for the experimental phase in view of the start of series production in July .
The manufacture of 130 Grenadier of the first experimental production phase is; fundamental to define the assembly process and makes representative vehicles available to the team of engineers to conduct the final stages of testing and certification. The company then makes it known that it is; a second experimental production phase is foreseen in March that will serve; to validate the assembly process and quality & agrave; constructive; mass production will allow & agrave; to confirm the validity; of supply chain, logistics and production rate.
Parallel to this work, INEOS Automotive is preparing for the marketing phase of its off-road vehicle when it will have to; interact with customers. Over 100 sales and service partners around the world have been selected and contracts have been signed with parts financing and distribution partners.
More information on the off-road vehicle will be communicated in April 2022 , when customers in Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East will be able to complete orders directly on the INEOS website or at the dealership.
