DS E-Tense Performance & egrave; an electric prototype that contains all the technology of the French brand inside it, so much so that it is defined as “a very high performance laboratory, destined to accelerate the development of technology for the next DS Automobiles projects”. It is a sports heiress of the prototype that the car manufacturer presented & ograve; back in 2016. Over the years, the brand has continued to work on its concept, evolving it thanks to the skills gained within the Formula E championship.

This new prototype, therefore, contains within it many of those contents that we will find on the future electric DS, remembering that from 2024, the goal of the car manufacturer is; to sell only 100% electric cars.

Our goal is; apply the experience gained in Formula E with that from our international titles to a project that envisions the high-performance electric car of tomorrow. & Egrave; a laboratory that we will use to analyze the functioning of the components and to develop them in view of future production. The idea is also to find solutions to lower costs, improve production and explore implementations in production models. The next generations of the E-TENSE range will benefit from these developments.

READY TO GO ON THE ROAD

The new DS E-Tense Performance is not; a simple exercise in style as the Formula E drivers Jean- & Eacute; ric Vergne and Antonio Felix da Costa they will take turns at the wheel of the prototype to finalize its development, before starting tests on the track and open roads. The result of this partner's research hides an innovative chemistry and immersive cooling system for the cells, in contrast to current technology, thanks to a bespoke design of the Quartz EV Fluid solution. This battery allows acceleration and regeneration phases up to 600 kW and allows to explore new avenues for future generations of production vehicles.

This prototype is; also served to the manufacturer to anticipate some stylistic choices that we will see on its future cars. The car, as told at the beginning, is the result of the evolution of the 2016 concept. For example, the front features a new panel that replaces the classic air intake. This is the DS Aero Sport Lounge with three-dimensional effect that includes the logo and the new LED lights with a subtle design. The 21-inch wheels have an aerodynamic profile.
