The Australian magazine Cars Guide is & egrave; sitting at a table to chat with the local Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Director, Ryan Davies , about the future of the Amarok and its more advanced version; racing addicted.

Ryan Davies pointed out that if Ford doesn't will consent; to Volkswagen to access the same mechanical parts with which the Ranger Raptor will be created, also for the creation of a sporty Amarok, there is a backup plan to create the pick up together with Walkinshaw, formerly known as HSV.

The latter already has; collaborated with Volkswagen in creating a more Amarok; robust and with a more & ugrave; gritty.

A second-generation Amarok, optimized by Walkinshaw, would have a V6 TDI engine, that's right: a six-cylinder diesel but it is not; clear if in the range there will be & agrave; also its petrol counterpart.

Ryan Davies, speaking to Cars Guide, said that an Amarok in the pi & ugrave; racing & quot; R & quot; it could be an opportunity for the Company to provide an unprecedented car in a market niche that is not overcrowded.

The new Amarok, in its normal version, should be presented in the coming months and will live; only thanks to Volkswagen's relationship with Ford , since & eacute; the German manufacturer has admitted that his pickup truck would have come to light only through this alliance.

The images and teasers already have us; shown that will be; much more; that a simple Ranger renamed , although obviously there will be & agrave; a mixed use of materials and technologies with the Amarok. This will be assembled by Ford, together with the Ranger, at the Silverton plant in South Africa.
