A large police operation is underway in Heidelberg in southwestern Germany after an armed man shot several.
According to media reports, the perpetrator was a student armed with several “larger weapons”. He is said to have opened fire in a lecture hall and injured four people.
According to the police, the perpetrator is dead – according to Bild, he must have committed suicide.
