The police's national operational department, Noa, announced last spring that as many as nine out of ten with deportation decisions then refused to be tested for covid-19. In this way, they stop their own deportation.

A parliamentary majority addressed a statement to the government this summer demanding action against the problem.

But the government has not yet given any information on what This is “completely unreasonable”, says Maria Malmer Stenergard (M), chair of the social insurance committee, to SR.

Minister of Justice and Home Affairs Morgan Johansson (S) claims that it would take several years to overcome the problem and that “constitutional aspects” are involved. However, Maria Malmer Stenergard does not consider that a constitutional amendment is required.
