You can now buy tickets directly from Apple Maps, even if you don't have the Tiqets app installed on your iPhone. Although the timing may not be optimal for the Netherlands, we see this as a nice addition to Apple Maps. Tiqets is the first app with full integration into Apple Maps. Read here how to use the function of this Dutch app.

Tiqets works directly from Apple Maps

When you search for a museum in Apple Maps, you now not only get directions, opening hours and other relevant information, but also a button to order tickets right away. There is no need to install the Tiqets app beforehand as the feature works with App Clips. So a small part of the app will open if you want to buy tickets – just enough to do what you want. If you have installed the app, you will be redirected to the Tiqets app to make your purchase there. Checkout is via Apple Pay.

When opening a museum, theme park, or other cultural event in Apple Maps, you'll automatically see the gray Tickets button if Tiqets supports this location. You will find this to the right of the directions button. Can't you see him? Then tap on the three dots and choose Tickets with the Tiqets logo next to it. From our experience, the app works with almost all cultural institutions.

You will receive the tickets in your email. You can download the Tiqets app later and import all your purchases. Enter the e-mail address used in the app and it will be arranged for you. Creating an account is therefore not mandatory, but it is useful to manage your reservations.

As mentioned, Tiqets is the first app with such support for cultural events. For hotel stays, this has already worked for Booking.com and TripAdvisor for some time. With Tiqets you can also visit more than 3000 museums and other attractions abroad, just from Apple Maps.
