New Apple TV screensavers from Scotland and Iceland
In tvOS 15, Apple added new screensavers to the Apple TV and with this week's tvOS 15.2 update it's back again. In total there are nine new aerial videos about the landscapes of Iceland and Scotland. So expect a lot of mountains, snow and lakes.
For Iceland, Apple has had six new screensavers made, while Scotland has received three. In Iceland we fly over Tungnaá, the Jökulgilskvísl River, Landmannalaugar, Jökulgil, Langishór and Myrdalsjökull, while in Scotland we visit the Isle of Skye and Loch Moidart. If a lot of winter snow pictures of Iceland are expected, we have to disappoint you unfortunately. While the first contains a lot of snow, the other screensavers are mostly about mountain ranges.
In the images of Scotland we mainly see many large lakes for which the area is also known. The Apple TV screensavers will automatically download to your Apple TV, but not all at once. So it can take a while before you see them all on your own television. If you are already curious about all the images, you can view them via this website. There you will also find all the other screensavers that Apple has already made.
In the settings of your Apple TV you can specify how often new screensavers should be downloaded. You can choose every day, every week or every month. If you opt for every day, there is a greater chance that you will be able to view the new screensavers faster. You can also disable certain themes.
