To conclude the celebrations for the sixtieth anniversary of the Renault 4L , the French manufacturer has thought of a & # 39; very special initiative. In fact, in collaboration with TheArsenale design center, & egrave; a concept has been created that must be seen as a futuristic reinterpretation of the Renault 4L.

The result of the job is; a concept called AIR4 . The name already does; intuit the most important element detail of this reinterpretation of the iconic model of the past of Renault. In fact, the 4L & egrave; been transformed into a kind of eVTOL . This is a very clear reference to the future new forms of mobility that are being experimented. TheArsenale wanted to imagine how the 4L could evolve in another 60 years.
After a whole year of celebrations, we wanted to create something unconventional to round off the 60 & deg; anniversary of the 4L. The collaboration with TheArsenale is; born spontaneously. The flying AIR4 showcar is; absolutely innovative and suggests how this icon could be in 60 years.
Speaking of design, the lines of the particular AIR4 do not differ too much from those of the original model. However, to achieve it & egrave; Extensive use has been made of carbon fiber. As we said, the Renault icon is; been transformed into an eVTOL. The frame rests in the center of the structure which includes 4 arms at the ends of which; propellers are present.
Like all eVTOLs, the AIR4 also has electric motors. Renault says that this concept & egrave; able to reach a speed; maximum horizontal of 26 m/s and one at take off of 14 m/s, limited to 4 m/s for safety reasons. The speed landing & egrave; equal to 3 m/s. The maximum altitude that can be reached is; of 700 meters. The motors are powered by a lithium polymer battery pack.
AIR4 & egrave; made entirely in France and will be; exhibited in Paris, at the Atelier Renault on the Champs & Eacute; lys & eacute; es, together with other historic versions of the Renault 4. In 2022 it will be; also taken to Miami and then to New York, before making a stop in Macau. The Renault 4 & egrave; however destined to return to the road, in an electric version. The debut is; expected for 2025.
