Domestic. The Sweden Democrats' MEP Peter Lundgren is now convicted of sexual harassment by the Court of Appeal, after being acquitted in the district court.

Peter Lundgren was accused of taking a female party comrade to the breast, something that would have happened at a party in a hotel room in Nacka during an election conference in March 2018.
After that the Jönköping District Court acquitted the SD politician, the prosecutor appealed the verdict to the Göta Court of Appeal, which today has sentenced Lundgren for sexual harassment
In the Court of Appeal, the prosecutor has presented more evidence than in the district court. Among other things, two longer recordings of telephone conversations between the plaintiffs and a witness where they deal with what happened have been presented, as well as a film sequence from an interview with Peter Lundgren where he comments on the incident. The Court of Appeal has also taken note of the interrogations held at the district court and other evidence that was already relied on there. at the time in question and that it happened against her will.
Even if the plaintiff did not report the incident to the police herself or has wished to participate in the criminal investigation, it is clear according to the court that she did not agree to what Lundgren did.
The Court of Appeal sentences Peter Lundgren for sexual harassment and sets the sentence at a 60-day fine.
