The market launch for Intel Alder Lake and the matching Z690 motherboards is expected in around two weeks. The manufacturers are already scratching their hooves and MSI is showing the first image details as appetizers. The model lists with specifications for the Z690 boards from MSI that are distributed via Twitter are not so official.

Official and unofficial information about Z690 boards from MSI

MSI only shows the lavishly equipped and richly decorated I/O areas of some motherboards of the MAG, MEG and MPG series, which are primarily aimed at gamers, on Twitter, but does not mention them concrete models still details. No wonder, since this information is actually still secret.

< p class = "p text-width">A list distributed on Twitter shows what the MSI lineup could look like in detail: 17 models with the Z690 chipset are named there. The entries also reveal some key data such as the number and type of RAM slots or the number of PCIe and M.2 slots and USB ports. If the information is correct, there will be a number of boards that are still equipped with DDR4 slots.

Intel Alder Lake supports both DDR4 and the new memory generation DDR5 with more power and improved efficiency.

However, the list should be used with caution, because LGA 1200 is sometimes the wrong socket. Intel is introducing the successor LGA 1700 for Alder Lake.

More leaks shortly before release

It is not surprising that more and more images and data about the upcoming Z690 motherboards are leaking through. OEM partners and dealers around the world are preparing for the launch of the new platform, which provides many opportunities for revelations before the information is actually released. For example, the first information about Z690 motherboards from Asus or Gigabyte has already leaked.

The Twitter user, who is notorious for his leaks, provides an even larger list of Z690 motherboards @momomo_us, from which models from ASRock, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI can be found.

Meanwhile, the rumor that Intel will present Alder Lake on October 27th has received indirect confirmation from a manufacturer: Asus invites you to a live stream via Twitter, on which the manufacturer would like to present the next generation of its ROG mainboards on the said date. The actual market launch is still expected for the beginning of November.
