Italy car market 2021: Dacia Spring? the electric pi? sold in September

The month of September 2021 & egrave; was particularly heavy for the Italian car market with a decrease of 32.7% compared to 2020. However, electrified cars (hybrid, plug-in and electric) continue to do well, scoring important numbers. In the month that has just ended, the pure electric cars have even come to have a market share of 8%, a value double the average of the first 9 months of the year (4%).

Plug-ins are also very good with a monthly share of 5.2% (4.5% in the first 9 months of the year). As for the hybrids, the overall share (Full Hybrid and Mild Hybrid) reaches 31.3% (28.2% from January to September). So let's go and see which were the cars more & ugrave; sold in these market segments. As for the BEV models, there are some surprises.

ELECTRIC CARS: TOP 10 OF SEPTEMBER 2021 1,876 registrations . A really interesting exploit. We will see in the coming months if this success will continue; or not. In second place we find the electric 500 (1,289 registrations) which continues to sell very well. In recent months she had always been the most electric sold in Italy. HYBRID CARS: TOP 10 IN SEPTEMBER 2021

Let's come to the ranking of HEV models that as pi & ugrave; times explained, it includes Full Hybrid and Mild Hybrid cars. In the first place, clearly, we find the Fiat Panda with 6,206 registrations. In second place, but very detached, the Lancia Ypsilon with 2,539 units. Third step of the podium for the Toyota Yaris (1,497 registrations). Also noteworthy is the fourth position of the Fiat 500 and the tenth of the new Toyota Yaris Cross that is & egrave; recently entered the market.

Overall, 33,276 HEV hybrid cars were registered in September.


Let's move on to the Plug-in ranking. The first two places are confirmed by the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Renegade with 636 and 473 registrations. Third step of the podium for the Renault Captur. Also noteworthy is the fourth position of the Audi A3 and the fifth place of the Ford Kuga. A total of 5,507 Plug-in models were registered in September.
