iPhone 13 Pro Max can charge quickly at 27 Watts of power

Its predecessor iPhone 12 Pro Max could be charged at a power of 21 Watts to 22 Watts if you use the same power adapter. Apple itself has not given any information about the higher wattage. It is good to know that 27 Watt does not apply to the entire charging cycle, but only to a part. This probably has to do with heat. However, you finish charging the iPhone 13 Pro Max faster compared to last year's Max model. To use it, you need a USB-C to Lightning cable and a USB-C adapter of 30 Watts or more. Apple sells such an adapter for 55 euros, but you can also use the adapter of your MacBook in combination with a suitable cable.

Apple itself indicates that all iPhones support fast charging and have a half-full (50%) battery in 30 minutes. After that, it takes another hour to fully charge. ChargerLAB's video shows the new findings.

It is possible that the iPhone 13 Pro can also be charged at 27 Watts, but ChargerLAB has not said anything about that yet. However, more is now known about the iPhone 13 mini, which does not reach the peak power of 15 Watt via MagSafe. Just like last year, the mini will remain at 12 Watts. This is evident from a support document. The iPhone 13 mini also has the shortest battery life of all iPhone 13 models. Because the iPhone 13 mini has a lower battery capacity, it may not have much of an impact: charging an iPhone 13 mini at 12 Watts is probably just as fast as an iPhone 13 at 15 Watts. These are MagSafe charging speeds, which are only achieved on Apple's original MagSafe chargers and approved third-party chargers.

This year marks the second time that Apple has not included a power adapter in the box. You can buy one separately for €55 and it's powerful enough to also charge your MacBook Air and your iPads. A 20 Watt adapter that costs €25 is also sufficient for the iPhone and iPad, but you will not get the indicated 27 Watt with that.
