Import prices also rose sharply and the rate of increase in these was 11.9 per cent per year in August. This is according to the import price index (IMPI) which shows the prices of imported products available for sale in Sweden.

Finally, the price development for Swedish producers' production in Sweden available for sale abroad, the so-called export price index (EXPI) has skyrocketed away really. The rate of increase is thus 17.9 percent per year ..

The figures differ considerably from the same month before the pandemic and the support packages struck. In August 2019, prices according to both the export price index, the domestic price index and the import price index increased by 1.4 per cent per year, according to Statistics Sweden.
