NZXT H510 Flow: New offshoot offers mesh front for more fresh air

NZXT has given its popular H510 case series another offshoot. Compared to the previous models, which rely on a closed front, the new H510 Flow aims at systems with air cooling and offers a mesh grille front for an optimal air flow.

The 4th variant relies on passage

The new H510 Flow is now the fourth offshoot of the NZXT housing series. While the basic concept is the same for all of them and relies on a relatively compact ATX design with side windows and a hidden power supply area, the most serious differences can be found in the front and in the equipment. The offshoots H510, H510i and H510 Elite come with a closed front made of steel or glass and draw their fresh air through a narrow inlet on the right-hand housing wall. In contrast, the NZXT H510 Flow is the first offshoot to offer a full-surface mesh grille front to trap as much air as possible.

The other features of the H510 Flow are based on the original version, the H510. The Flow therefore offers no lighting options and also has no control unit for fan and lighting control. Why NZXT specifies different maximum graphics card lengths remains questionable in the case of identical housings. Since the H510 and H510i are each delivered without a front fan and the maximum graphics card length is specified as 380 mm, it is reasonable to assume that the maximum graphics card length should be identical for all offshoots and only depends on the fans installed.

Differences in detail

Apart from the conventional housing specifications, the differences between the H510 offshoots are shown in the table below.

Properties H510 Front closed, steel fan included 1 × 120 mm cover, 1 × 120 mm back Special features – H510 Flow Front mesh grille, steel fan including 1 × 120 mm front, 1 × 120 mm rear Special features – H510i Front closed, steel fan included 1 × 120 mm cover, 1 × 120 mm rear Special features 2 × RGB light strips, fan and RGB control (Smart Device V2) H510 Elite front closed, glass fan included 2 × 140 mm RGB 4-pin front, 1 × 140 mm cover, 1 × 120 mm rear Special features 1 × RGB light strips, fan and RGB control (Smart Device V2)

Even with the price at the level of the” simple “H510

NZXT sets the price recommendation with a recommendation of around 110 euros and thus like the H510. The H510 Flow should reach the trade “soon”. The conventional H510 costs between 72 and 74 euros in price comparison, depending on the color. A similar street price should therefore also be expected with the H510 Flow.
