Lotus relies heavily on the success of the Emira, its latest sports car with an internal combustion engine. Car we already have learned to know and that, now, is preparing to arrive on the market. For the occasion, the British car manufacturer has communicated prices and precise technical specifications of the Emira V6 First Edition . To see it on the road, for & ograve ;, you will need & agrave; wait a little longer since the production will start; only in the spring of 2022. In Germany, the price list for this specific version starts at 95,995 euros.
The version equipped with the 4-cylinder AMG derivation will debut, however, in the autumn of 2022. In 2023, however, it will arrive; the variant that Lotus defines as & quot; entry level & quot; and that it will have; a starting cost of 59,995 pounds, equal to approximately 70,000 euros.

The Emira is a premium mid-engined sports car that perfectly embodies the DNA of the Lotus brand and is was built based on the heritage who left the models Elise, Exige and Evora. The engine of the First Edition & egrave; a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 of Toyota origin , combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The unit it delivers 298 kW (405 hp) with 420 Nm of torque. By opting for the 6-speed automatic transmission (2,600 euros in Germany), the engine torque rises to 430 Nm.
Excellent performance and could only be otherwise. The speed maximum reaches 290 km/h , while to go from 0 to 100 km/h it takes 4.3 seconds with the manual gearbox and 4.2 seconds with the automatic. Lotus also declared the emission figure of 243 g/km of CO2 according to the WLTP cycle.
Speaking of the standard equipment, the new Emira V6 First Edition adopts 20-inch forged alloy wheels, LED lights, titanium tailpipes, heated exterior mirrors and rear parking sensors. We still have electrically adjustable seats equipped with heating, climate control, cruise control, keyless start and mode; guide selectable. Inside you can also breathe a lot of luxury thanks to the presence of leather or Alcantara upholstery.
On the technology front, the Lotus sports car offers a 12.3-inch display for the instrumentation and an infotainment with a 10.25-inch screen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The audio system & egrave; was developed together with KEF. The First Edition version also offers optional packages Drivers Package, Design Pack and Convenience Pack .
The first allows the buyer to choose between Tour and Sport suspensions and between Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport or Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires. The latter includes tinted windows, sport pedals, a black Alcantara headliner and black, red, yellow or silver brake calipers. Finally, the third adds the parking sensors, the rear view camera, the photochromic mirrors, the rain sensor and a rear storage net.
The sports car will be able to & agrave; be requested in Seneca Blue, Magma Red, Hethel Yellow, Dark Verdant, Shadow Gray and Nimbus Gray colors.
