Domestic. The work of establishing five new regiments and a new air flotilla has come so far that it is time for inaugurations, according to a press release from the Armed Forces.

The Armed Forces has been commissioned by the Riksdag and the government to upgrade Sweden's defense capability in the light of Russian activities in Georgia and Ukraine. The units that are now being established are part of a larger military growth that will gradually take place throughout the 2020s.
– The new regiments and air flotilla will contribute to a more sustainable organization, we will train more conscripts and not least have a geographical presence in strategically important areas, says the Armed Forces' production manager Johan Svensson, in a press release .
