Sharkoon CA700: Hexagonal design for the top league of housing

With the Elite Shark series, Sharkoon has slowly ventured into the three-digit price range. The new CA700 for around 400 euros, which is advertised as a semi-open show case with a striking design, marks the provisional completion of this development. A hexagonal shape and a variable angle of inclination should make it an eye-catcher.

The CA700 consists of two parts: A hexagonal chassis for mounting the hardware and a base in which the chassis can be locked in four positions at different angles. The basic techno-transformer-style design is also shown by other open-frame housings in this price range.

On the left side, a large window provides a clear view of the hardware, on the other hand, a conventional steel side panel is used to cover the cables and the hard drives located there. To facilitate access to components, the top and front can be opened. They can be locked by inserting an Allen key into the chassis as a support.

Graphics cards and coolers can – with a volume of 100 liters of course – be used without size restrictions. An expansion card with a width of two or three slots can also be displayed vertically. Riser cable and bracket are included in the scope of delivery.

Eight fans cool

A maximum of eight 120 mm fans already have five RGB for cooling -Models installed that Sharkoon uses on the front and top. The other three fans fit in front of the mainboard, where they blow air out of the sides.

This position is intended for the installation of a 360 mm radiator, which can lead air directly out of the housing. A second 360 mm radiator fits under the top. Pumps and reservoirs for a custom loop water cooling system can be attached to the bottom of the CA700 or via a mounting plate next to the mainboard tray.

The Elite Shark CA700 should already be available in stores, but no retailer currently lists it as in stock.
