With the Nano-II charger series, Anker is introducing a new USB power supply series with GaN-II technology that not only provides more power in a more compact space than the first generation, it also generates less waste heat.

According to its own information, Anker is the first brand worldwide to use GaN-II technology, after the company replaced the traditional silicon in the chips with the more efficient gallium nitride (GaN) in 2018. As the GaN technology was further developed, the operating frequency was increased by more than 20 percent, which means that the new power supply units generate less heat when converting AC to DC. The new InnoSwitch 4 from Power Integrations is used for this. Anker is working with Power Integrations as the exclusive launch partner for the InnoSwitch4-CZ IC. It is a high-frequency, zero-voltage flyback switch that contains a 750 V primary switch with PowiGaN technology from Power Integrations and a novel high-frequency active clamp flyback controller to improve charging performance and size.

65 watts at 30 watt size

Because the new models have also gotten smaller. The 65 watt Nano II is the same size as the 30 watt Atom PD 1 that Anker released in 2018. The new Nano II series includes chargers with 65, 45 and 30 watts. Each model has a USB-C port, which is equipped with Anker's own Power-IQ 3.0 technology. This technology not only charges the iPhone with up to 15 watts, but is also compatible with Samsung's Super Fast Charging.

The EU version of the 30-watt model measures 31 , 54 × 30.39 × 38.05 mm, the 45-watt model 37.72 × 35 × 41 mm and the 65-watt model 41.72 × 36 × 44 mm.
