The South Korean memory manufacturer SK Hynix is expanding the NVMe SSD series Gold P31, which is known for its outstanding efficiency, to include a model with 2 TB of storage space. Once again, sequential transfer rates of up to 3,500 MB/s when reading and up to 3,200 MB/s when writing in the SLC cache are promised.

For its high performance and, above all, the outstanding efficiency in the field of NVMe SSDs with PCIe 3.0, the Gold P31 has received numerous praise and because of these properties as ideal SSD selected for notebooks.
Gold P31 with 2 TB
The Series with models with 500 GB and 1 TB of storage space. SK Hynix is now launching a variant with 2 TB storage space. With the Cepheus controller, LPDDR4 DRAM cache and 128-layer TLC NAND, all essential components come directly from SK Hynix. The 2 TB model is specified with a higher durability guarantee of 1,200 TB (TBW) in accordance with the larger storage space, but this only applies up to the maximum guarantee period of five years.
Only imported goods in this country
The fact that SSDs from SK Hynix hardly play a role in this country is due to the lack of sales in Europe. For example, the SK Hynix Gold P31 is only offered as a US import via Amazon at prices of currently 86 euros * (500 GB) and 152 euros * (1 TB). The 2 TB version will be offered on August 23 at “Amazon's Deal of the Day sale”.
