In his post, Demirok accuses “older, privileged and, dare I say it, white men” of throwing out “statements, guesses and pure untruths that they claim are facts”.
The Center Party member emphasizes that he is tired of taking into account that he is a politically elected politician. “I can no longer be humble towards them”, he writes and accuses whites of being “the worst kind of golar”.
On Twitter, many react to Demirok, who has a Turkish immigrant background, expressing himself that way about white men. Some even think that he should return to his homeland.
Muharrem Demirok has been a municipal councilor in Linköping since 2009. He has been one of the driving political forces behind the construction of a huge mosque in the city.
