With the customizable mini PC Move², the basis of which is Intel's NUC compute element and dedicated graphics card, the PC manufacturer Bleujour, based in France, offers a scalable workstation designed for productive use . It should score in terms of aesthetics, compactness and flexibility.

Quarz Canyon NUC forms the basis for the professional model

< p class = "p text-width">In the successor to the Move, Bleujour relies not only on a new technical basis but also on a modified housing made of aluminum. The chassis is adapted to the needs of the new Intel NUC compute element and is now 270 × 170 × 235 mm (L × D × H) in size, the weight increases from 1.8 kg to 2.7 kg. Nevertheless, the Move² should also be suitable as a portable work PC.

Bleujour will offer the PC system in two different performance classes, which differ primarily in terms of the built-in processor and the dedicated graphics card. In the Designer Edition, which is only available with white sides combined with a base and lid in gray, a Xeon E-2286M with eight cores and 16 threads at a maximum of 5 GHz from the professional segment is offered, which Intel itself offers for the first time in the Quartz Canyon NUC for business users. The Move² shares further similarities with the NUC platform from Intel: A Quadro P2200 or a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti are available in the x16 graphics card slot, which has space for GPUs with a length of 200 mm. In addition, depending on the configuration, there are pluggable DDR4 RAM in SO-DIMM format with up to 64 GB. 16 GB DDR4-2666 are installed in the basic configuration. An M.2 PCIe SSD with 500/512 GB is installed in the basic configuration, another slot is available for those willing to upgrade.

Intel NUC platform of the 9th generation in a designer suit

In the essential edition of the Move², however, Bleujour uses the NUC platform twin, Ghost Canyon, which is available in five color variants (Graphite, May 68, Passion Red, Chocolate and Vinous). Three models from the older 9th core generation for notebooks in the form of the Core i5-9300H, Core i7-9750H and Core i9-9980HK with four, six and eight cores are offered as processors. Bleujour may have decided not to use the modern NUC generation with Tiger Lake CPUs for the time being due to the ongoing insecure delivery situation at the chip giant and instead preferred the older platform. The current models, the GeForce RTX 3060 and the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, are available as graphics cards.

Apart from the differences in the processors and the exchangeable graphics cards, the equipment with RAM and mass storage is identical between the two model variants. All interfaces, such as two Thunderbolt 3, four USB A, two Gigabit LAN, one HDMI and a WLAN module with Wi-Fi 6 including Bluetooth 5.1 are also on an equal footing with the NUC platform from Intel. The power supply is provided by a power supply unit with 500 watts, which is certified for high efficiency according to 80+ Platinum.

Edel-NUC costs at least 1,950 euros

With a factory guarantee of three years, Bleujour charges 1,950 euros for the Move² in the cheapest basic equipment of the Essential Edition. For the NUC system equipped with a Xeon CPU as Designer Edition, at least 3,150 euros must be paid to the manufacturer. Both models can now be configured in the Bleujour shop and are available.
