Abroad. Tajikistan is now forcing all adult citizens in the country over the age of 18 to be vaccinated against covid-19, reports RFE/RL.

It is Tajikistan's state working group against covid-19 that comes with the strict order, reports the Central Asian country's state media.
“Coronavirus vaccination is mandatory for citizens over 18 years”, the working group announces , according to the news agency Khovar.
In the past, vaccination in the country has been voluntary.
The statement comes in connection with a new variant of coronavirus being spread quickly in the country, although official statistics show that the number of new cases is still low.
