COMBUSTION ENGINES UNTIL 2033

Although from 2026 the manufacturer will aim for & agrave; only on electric models, this does not mean that endothermic cars will be removed from the market. Audi makes it known that it will stop gradually the production of combustion engines by 2033 . Therefore, the petrol and diesel models will remain on sale for several more years even if they are slowly eliminated. The German brand adds that in any case it does not intend to formalize a precise date for the end of sales of endothermic cars. The exact times & quot; will be decided & quot; from customers and regulations.

For example, Audi highlights that it expects demand for traditional cars in China to continue after 2033. For this reason, there may be a production dedicated to this market. The constructor will continue; then to evolve its current internal combustion engines until the end in order to make them more and more; efficient. Over the next few years, the German brand obviously intends to expand the number of battery-powered models. The car manufacturer wanted to emphasize that already & agrave; in 2021 it launched pi & ugrave; electric and traditional models. A trend that will increase in the future.

Audi aims to have more & ugrave; of 20 electric cars in its range for 2025 . This acceleration in the electrification plans fits within a pi & ugrave; broad strategy that sees the brand committed to achieving neutrality by 2050; carbonic. The automaker did not want to provide details on the next battery models coming and on which one it will be; the latest endothermic car to be presented.

Past rumors stated that the new Q8 could be the latest new model with a traditional engine from the House of the Four Rings. Audi has therefore clarified which one will be; its roadmap to become an electric-only brand. A very ambitious program in line, however, with the electrification objectives of the entire Volkswagen Group, which is focusing heavily on electric cars. A position not shared, however, by brands like BMW and Toyota who think it is too early to focus only on this new form of mobility.
